eBay Inc. announced earnings for Q4 and full year ended December 31, 2009. Fourth-quarter revenue was $2.4 billion, up 16% from the same period last year. This includes the $112 million in revenue from Skype during the period that we still fully owned it. The year-over-year increase was attributed primarily to “excellent growth in PayPal and StubHub and improvement in growth rates in the core eBay business, as well as the positive impact from foreign currency movements.” (More …)

As most of you know I’ve been battling a rather nasty stomach bug for over a month now. It has disrupted my schedule and seen me in and out of the eBay office vs doctor’s office for the past 4 weeks. Yesterday was unfortunately no exception. On a day when PayPal held a Platform Preview and became the first and only global payments platform open to third-party developers and a day in which John Donahoe joined Fortune’s editor at large, Adam Lashinsky, on stage at FORTUNE Brainstorm: TECH 2009 down in Pasadena, I found myself stuck getting yet more tests and sadly had to miss both. eBay Inc. Reports Second Quarter 2009 Results

eBay reported second quarter 2009 earnings results a few minutes ago. Second quarter revenue was $2.10 Billion (a $97.7 million decrease year-over-year) . Net income on a GAAP basis was $327.3 million ($0.25 per diluted share), and non-GAAP net income was $478.6 million ($0.37 per diluted share).eBay Inc. generated $730.7 million of operating cash flow during Q2 and free cash flow during the quarter was $602.3 million.

As some of you already know, I am getting ready to leave for a Summer vacation (or holiday for those of my British brethren) and am in the process of making sure I leave Ink in good hands during my absence.However, before I do, I wanted to give a shout out to a group of individuals that work incredibly hard but seldom get the public recognition for it. Our interns. When Sarah Fleming joined the Internal Communications team last year, she was with 150 peers taking part in Intern orientation for eBay. She graduated from Santa Clara University last weekend and is ready (or at least thinks she is) to head out into the “real world.” (More …)

eBay reported first quarter 2009 earnings results a few minutes ago. First quarter revenue was $2.02 Billion (a $171.6 million decrease year-over-year) . Net income on a GAAP basis was $357.1 million ($0.28 per diluted share), and non-GAAP net income was $499.9 million ($0.39 per diluted share).eBay Inc. generated $668.5 million of operating cash flow during Q1 and free cash flow during the quarter was $577.6 million.
