When did you start selling on eBay: I started selling in 1997.
What do your purchase off of eBay for yourself: Groceries!
Most recent eBay purchase: The last thing I bought on eBay was 36 kindness coins. I include them in each purchase for my customers. I thought it was a cute, fun idea!
Most memorable eBay experience: Receiving the eBay Hall of Fame award in 2008. Words cannot describe the honor I felt from meeting John Donahoe and Lorrie Norrington during that time. eBay Live, Chicago 2008 will forever be in my heart, as there was a blend of amazing events that took place including an award from the eBay Giving Works team which included meeting the very special people from Missionfish and the staff on a personal level.
What do you enjoy most about eBay: The people! The community as a whole! Socializing with others to know you are not alone in this big eBay world. There are other sellers and buyers going through the same STUFF you are going through, "people are basically good" and they can be found on eBay!

Gearing Up for Back to School Shopping on eBay
What do you sell?
Educational DVD’s, advertising, eBay consulting services and the occasional miscellaneous treasures that I find.
What advice would you give to other sellers?
Be warned of drop-ship fantasies and get rich quick promises, seek out education and never stop learning. Just when you think you know it all, a new selling strategy can be found that may help your eBay business. Focus, set goals, get organized and learn to manage your time, which includes social marketing!
Best place to look for deals?
eBay of course! When I personally want to buy something for myself, I first check the completed listings to see what the item has sold for in the last week. This will help me have a more realistic expectation of price. Then I seek out current listings and view lowest price first. Then I know how high to bid on the auctions or which one to purchase as a buy it now!
What are your interests?
Family, eBay, writing articles and blogs, social networking and spending time at the beach!

Graduated from Midstate College, Peoria IL with an Associates degree in Travel and Tourism.
What you wanted to be growing up?
I wanted to be a journalist but when I first started selling on eBay, I felt like I had finally found my dream job because I was writing very creative descriptions!
What is your favorite social media tool?
I actually have two favorite tools that I use every day, those are Shareaholic and Hootsuite.
Favorite quote?
My favorite quote is “There is plenty of eBay for us all to be blessed and prosper”. One I keep by my computer as a reminder to give back is: “Give and it shall be given unto you” Luke 6:38.
Favorite album?
The Wall by Pink Floyd.
Favorite Movie?
Call me silly but favorite movie is When Peggy Sue Got Married. Second is Star Wars.
What do you think will be the future of online shopping/selling?
I think we are all still in the learning stages of online selling and shopping. I am excited every day I turn on my computer, knowing I will discover something new that will help me on my selling and shopping journey!
