Starting today, eBay has teamed up with Groupon to offer eBay Bucks members an additional way to earn eBay Bucks.

Members of the eBay Bucks Rewards Program can earn eBay Bucks with Groupon in 3 easy steps:
1. Sign into your eBay account.
2. Access a Groupon offer from an eBay site page – (e.g. My eBay Bucks Page)
3. Successfully complete a transaction

eBay Bucks members will earn 5% in eBay Bucks for Groupon deals that they purchase via clicking on the ad in their My eBay Bucks accounts and transacting on the Groupon site. Users must click to the Groupon site from the ad in order for us to track and issue Bucks.

When will I get my eBay Bucks for successfully completing a Groupon deal?
It will take up to three business days after a Groupon deal has closed to see your earned eBay Bucks in your My eBay Bucks Activity section. Like all eBay Bucks, you will need to wait until the redemption period to redeem your eBay Bucks Certificate.

When can I use my eBay Bucks?
You will get your eBay Bucks Certificate 3-15 days after the end of the quarterly earn period. Please check the eBay Bucks page in My eBay: Keep an eye on the “Certificates” section. View the eBay Bucks FAQs for more information on eBay Bucks.

How long will the eBay Bucks Offers from Groupon Promotion last?
The eBay Bucks Offers from Groupon promotion will end on March 28, 2011. eBay and Groupon reserve the right to extend or cancel the Groupon promotion at any time without prior notice.

Who’s eligible to earn eBay Bucks?
US-registered eBay Bucks members are eligible to earn eBay Bucks. If you are not an eBay Bucks member, you can enroll from the eBay Bucks enrollment page.

Can I earn eBay Bucks if I complete a Groupon deal more than once?
Yes. You earn eBay Bucks based on the offers that you buy. That said, check the “Fine Print” section as there may be limits on the number of Groupon deals you may buy per day per city per Groupon account.

Can I receive eBay Bucks for an offer I completed outside of the eBay and Groupon checkout?
No. We can only honor Groupon Deals that were initiated and completed via the Groupon advertisement on eBay’s site during the term of this Groupon promotion. If you complete an offer directly from Groupon’s Web site, that offer is not eligible for eBay Bucks.

Can I complete a transaction if I do not have a credit card?
No. At this time, Groupon transactions can only be made using a credit card.

Interesting to note that PayPal is not accepted at this time because Groupon deals need to have enough users who’ve committed to buying the deal before they run all the credit cards. PayPal currently doesn’t have the functionality to “hold” transactions and process them later. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re already working on ways to integrate PayPal in the near future.
