Thanks for the feedback Tony. It's a combination of the two to be honest. Agreed that a buyer should be able to find what they want when they want it but also understand that the buyer also expects as trouble-free transaction as possible.

I did edit one word... only because of the comment policy. I need to be consistent.

My ambiguous but consistent comment policy is that if I can read the comment out loud to my 3.5 year-old daughter, then it can go up on the blog.

Cheers,

THE RANKING SYSTEM SUCKS!!!

Have u ever tried looking up the item ur selling as a buyer? Ebay says it is based on the best match, but when I could not find my item (a pioneer car stereo) in the category of pioneer car stereos) they told me that rankings are based on a seller's status, shipping records and performance.

Now tell me, should the item your selling be ranked that way or by the best way a buyer will find it...the best match for what they are actually looking for. That is how all the search engines do it...It should be about making it easier for the buyer to find you...not shipping records and status.

The system is not just flawed, it's [sentence edited: see comment policy]. They will probably delete this posting...it's negative (sarcastic tone).
