I have two wonderful ideas that ebay could use. One of them would be a boon to the user experience. The other would bring in MANY new ebayers, and get current ebayers using the system on a much more regular basis. The second idea has the potential to become nothing less than a sensation.

I have to say though, if I worked for ebay, I would be hesitant to spill either of these ideas. The whole "work for hire" thing means when I spill that idea, it belongs to ebay.

Corporations with money see ideas in their employees heads as already owned assets. Therefore, as an employee, you should be careful not to utter these ideas until such time as they benefit YOU, particularly if they have the potential to have a significant positive impact on the employers bottom line!

Ideas are NOT just floaty things that ANYONE can have. Some people are better at it than others. EVERYTHING starts with a good idea. And if an idea can make a company a billion dollars more per year, the person who brought that idea to the plate deserves at least a percent of that.
