re: Microsoft Live Search cashback

i have been trying to figure this one out for a week. usually with the cashback you can see what your discount will be on live.com. i'm seeing no such indicators and hence am not buying the items i'm looking at. i'd really like to use this promo.

Again, how about a return of Lorrie Norrington to INK to show us how small sellers have been cuddled since her first post here, due to our "value." Should be a short, succinct post, alright. Is there such a thing as a negative wordcount?

I'm sure there is no place at the table for small sellers in these promos, like about every other aspect of eBay, after we built this business.

Well...if the other small sellers got the same bum's rush I did then there's no problem with the big box stores offering items at reduced rates....there just aren't that many sellers left to complain about it :-) I'm spending the holidays at two small sites - one of which has an ad campaign in the wings and between those and my website I'll hav a holiday season afterall. I got an Ebay coupon but there's no reason to buy there if I'm not selling there. Its a simple fact.

That's it? Coupons?

What ever happened to ADVERTISING?

Ebay lost its Number 1 spot last year in traffic to Amazon and they do THIS?

What about TV campaigns, banner campaigns???

I've heard NOTHING to indicate anything is planned.

I actually think this is pretty cool. We'll have to wait for the details, but I see 'Deal of the Day' for Amazon all the time. Even if this is for 'large sellers' only (we don't know how it works yet), it can't hurt by bringing more buyers to eBay.

This sounds like it has the same potential to drive repeat buyers, much like Amazon DotD and woot.com.

Oh boy, I'm excited. NOT!

This entire place is falling apart. Let me give you an example, Since we went "Paperless" payments, I'm getting constant complaints from my buyers that they are unable to pay using their Credit Cards. I thought you didn't need a Paypal account in order to pay with your CC. I thought was the WHOLE idea of this paperless policy. Well, it isn't working. It appears these buyers do not have a Paypal account, and the system will NOT let them use their CC.

So what am I left with? Angry, frustrated buyers, who end up sending a check or MO anyway. And let me tell you, they are NOT angry at me, they are angry at YOU eBay. So go ahead, drive more buyers away. First you drove off sellers, now you can start driving off my remaining buyers.

Really GREAT plan ebay.

So just whose items are being promoted???

"available at a fixed-price and deep discount off MSRP with free shipping. These limited-quantity items will be available daily"

Who is the seller? eBay itself or Buy.com? Certainly not your average seller! Another blow from eBay to it's customers, the sellers.

BAD, BAD MOVE!
