Presentation Alternative

All,
Last time I used a presentation tool on Ink it slowed a few reader’s computers down. I think we may have found an alternative to avoid that problem but wanted to run it by you first.
.

Please let me know in the comments if this one is posing problems for you or not. Really want to continue to give readers access to presentations I get my hands on but not at the expense of functionality or performance of the blog.

Cheers,
RBH

Works perfectly here :-)

Thanks, Chris. There is always the strong possibility that it was the size of the last presentation and not the tool itself that was slowing things down… the preso above is only a couple of pages so I may not be getting an accurate assessment of performance. We’ll use Zoho next time we have a big preso to share and find out…
Cheers,

Works fine for me, but I did not try the last tool you tried.

No problems here Richard ;)

This viewer is not hanging up my page, Richard. But, you haven’t loaded anything into it yet.

The last viewer didn’t SLOW the loading of the page, it hung it up completely. I had to use ctl/alt/dlt to close the page and IE.

I must be using a fossil compared to the rest of you.

Nothing in the box for me Richard… Sorry

The entire page loaded here in less than 5 seconds. I am on cable. I don’t remember having a problem with the last one either.

I really enjoy the bright, tasty presentation as well as the chewy, chunky text. Thanks!

Sorry Richard, It’s all invisible ink from where I sit.

As a recent arrival and light user of eBay you should know that many long term heavy users have had to tweak, modify and at times completely abandon browsers due to eBay’s err.. “enhancements” and the wreckage they left behind.

There is a member who posts on the Technical Issues discussion board who has held both users and eBay staff hands through each onslaught of these “enhancements”.

Her fixes have allowed many, and I mean many, users to once again efficiently use eBay. The drawback is that the browser tweaks needed to make eBay usable often block much of what eBay pitches that is unnecessary or browser breaking.

You would do yourself a great service Richard by learning of this member’s fixes and workarounds as they may be affecting other member’s ability to see any extra bells and whistles in your blog. Your ppt embed may nto be showing to some because of these browser modifications.

Czech out her ME page (link below) and search her name on the Discussion Boards to learn more.

Cheers!

Works fine. Now if you could just get Feedburner to ‘un-pause’ my email subscription we’ll be good to go.
