I’ve received a few comments and emails regarding the search functionality of Ink. As some of you know, we use WordPress as the platform for eBay Ink and the search tool within WordPress is set up to search Post Title and Post Body. It’s my understanding that the search in its current configuration just wouldn’t be able to efficiently search through all comments to each post.
However, we are investigating outside ways in which we can search/index all content across the site (Comments included) and not just blog post title/body. Google Search is one way we could do this. I’ll investigate further because I agree that with the sheer volume of comments coming in on a given post, we need to be able to search them quickly and easily.
